In 2016, I had just finished final revisions on a novel that I thought
might actually be publishable (unlike the other two I had previously
attempted). When I researched the current publishing landscape to get up
to speed on what it would take to get the novel published, I encountered
the phrase “building author platform.” Again and again and again. There
was no escaping it. I needed an author’s website. “Elizabeth Gauffreau”
includes the complete list of my previous publications in literary
magazines, as well as links to stories and poems that are accessible
online. The site also includes a blog, which, as it turns out, I greatly
enjoy. The blog gives me a venue for randomly spouting off about all
things writing without having to accost strangers in the street–and
people respond!

I’ve always wanted to write, but told myself I was too busy. Really though, I was afraid to share my stories publicly. In 2013, at the Massachusetts Conference for Women, I confronted that fear. I came home determined to write two blog post per week for 52 weeks. My hope was that by finding my courage to write I’d find my voice and follow what had been my lifelong dream. Now, five years later, several of my short stories have been published, and I’m revising my first novel. Perhaps someday that will be published too!

Here is my post about how I battled back my fears with this post about finding the Courage to Write – Read here the whole story !

Existential Tableau blog

Existential Tableau blog

My blog is mainly set up to promote my short novel – Existential Tableau – which is a lateral thinker’s approach to life. I am a fan of mixing the practical with the arcane; hopefully, my short novel conveys these two qualities well. I also share my thoughts on a variety of topics – there are links to my articles for the Korea Times on my blog. I am passionate about English teaching, so I share my perspective with the world. Who knows, maybe someone’s life will be positively influenced?

My philosophical musings inspired me to set up the blog. I was searching for the best way to publish my short novel – Reddit, Facebook, Twitter.. there was always something missing. Until I stumbled across WordPress. It’s a great site. I am going to reach 100 pages at one point.

Well, essentially I wanted my blog to represent a number of things:

1.Be a conduit for debates on contemporary issues.
2.A means of connecting with fellow creatives
3.A library of all my shorts stories, film reviews and think pieces etc.

4.Finally, and most importantly, a form of self-expression. My mind is constantly overflowing with thoughts and ideas, and I felt that creating a blog was the best way of getting them all out before I exploded.

This is Amaan Khan blog

ThisIsAmaanKhan is the name of my blog.

Hello. My name is Amaan Khan, and this is my portfolio website. Welcome to my humble little corner of the blogosphere. Herein you will find short (and maybe long) pieces of fiction, thoughtful ramblings from yours truly, and who knows what else when inspiration strikes. Currently, I am preparing to publish chapters of my upcoming novel, one post at a time.

What inspired me to start my blog was the insatiable passion for reading, writing, and storytelling. I find that when all else in life fails, I keep coming back to them. They never let down, they never stop helping, healing. They are my true calling, and I believe my blog is the way I express my undying love and gratitude for them.

If you like what you find, please do follow the blog. There are weekly updates without fail, a new post every Thursday. Thank you for reading and stopping by! Have a great and healthy day!

Virtual friends blog

We are group of bloggers/artists together writing in a blogging community and I am the admin of the community.

I too have a blog where I write haiku poems, freestyle poems and short stories. I write on social or political issues as well. I care about nature too.

I welcome everyone to have a wonderful reading.

Let me introduce myself as an Alien Poet. I am an Engineer and a poet.  I started writing poems from very young age.

I would like to write not only poems but anything that attracts readers to my blog. I write to the taste of the readers rather writing myself.

I write from Poetry to Political satire, Short stories etc. I even have a community blog and being as admin of the blog. I host the blog with nearly 15 Authors for publishing and promoting their work.

I was writing in a notebook for many years and when I learn about blogging 6 years ago I started off a blog for publishing those works. And slowly learnt to write the situation and current happenings rather sticking to the old style of poetry.

I even tried self publishing and unfortunately it turned out to be not successful and I like to continue publishing through blog until I get a suitable publisher.

I welcome every blogger to promote on my Alien poems blog being an Author themselves. Thus they can ping back to their personal blog.
