Manja Mexi Movie Blog

My blog Manja Mexi Movie is already my third. I
started out four years ago without any plan or many expectations. It was obvious that I was getting a bit lonesome in the middle of rural Tuscany with amore who works long hours and the dog whom we call
bestia.

The last straw to do something like starting a blog came when I got upset because my family and friends back home in Slovenia, to whom I kept sending photos from around here, didn’t respond to my mails at all or rarely. Obviously I needed a larger audience if I was to get
any feedback.

I simply started to write and post photos, and looking back now I cannot believe how much personal information I shared willingly.
Sometimes it makes me cringe but not enough to delete anything. I leave both my previous blogs as they were, for anybody who might find them as well as for me to look back and reminisce.

When the first blog was full, I simply started another and then another. The accent is on photography with more or less entertaining or merely informative captions, but sometimes I also burst out writing
– always non-fiction, I cannot invent – most recently even poetry.
Sometimes I translate poetry or songs, since this is my profession.
Sometimes I post quotations.

My posts can be about present goings-on or a past trip to any of the little towns of Tuscany, to Rome or Slovenia where I return twice a
year. These are my playgrounds.

Oh, and every four months or so I post flash film reviews. There is Movie in my blog name after all.
And I’ve almost forgot: on Thursdays I and about 40 other enthusiasts worldwide post photos of doors. Welcome to join us or just come and
have a look if you like doors, and who doesn’t.

Everybody welcome, especially those who like their lives a bit quirky, a bit out of the way and fully unapologetic. And who don’t do it for the money.

ABOUT
Under 1000 Skies Blog
Our blog under1000skies is about connecting homeless creatives to each other and to the world. We showcase daily M-F photos, artwork and/or poetry on the website, social media and in our daily email. We also have gallery shows about twice a year. About once a month, we interview and honor those who serve homeless creatives (“Spotlight Saturday”). Some statistics claim that over 90 percent of us are only 2 paychecks away from being homeless. We believe there is no “us” and “them;” only “us.” Connection keeps us strong.

ORIGIN
This blog began on November 11, 2014 on my personal blog, Niki Flow after a conversation on Twitter with author Laurence O’Brien.
Niki Flow- It begins with me.
O’Brien shared an article by Christopher Taylor called “Social Cleansing of the Homeless.” This term “Social cleansing” was an unfamiliar one, and the article was horrifying. When I responded his tweet, O’Brien invited me to do something about it. I’m an agoraphobic with panic disorder. The irony of my situation was not lost on me, but I wanted to help. I was homeless for a short time. After two days, the pain levels from living and sleeping outside were ridiculous — and I was a teenager at the time. So this has always been something close to my heart. Some of my friends in cities around the country agreed to accept the artist packs my family and I put together to distribute in their area. Each pack includes a disposable camera, a warm scarf (for winter; baseball cap in summer) waterproof notebook, pens, lip balm, gum and a waterproof carry pouch. I have learned that our connection to each other is critical to healing our lives and to finding a way back. I believe creativity is where we meet the best, most unfiltered parts of ourselves which we rarely show the world in our daily lives. When we play and create together, we connect deeply and really *see* each other. That was my dream. What grew from that has been connection to some of the most beautiful people I have ever met.

Photo Sociology Blog

Greetings,

I’m Richard and my blog is Photo sociology

I study photography with the Open College of the Arts, and we are required to start a blog in order that we can evidence our progress and development throughout the course, and as a means of submitting our assignments.

But that’s not where my journey with photography began.

Two years ago, I was on the brink of suicide due to overwhelming anxiety and paranoia. I was unable to go outside and couldn’t cope with life. A friend was very firm that something needed to change, so I ordered a camera. Very slowly and tentatively I started to go outdoors with a camera. Five minutes was more than enough to start with, but over a period of months this increased. I felt a level of safety having a camera in front of my face, and also that photography became my mindfulness practice. It never took my paranoia or anxiety away, but it helped me to cope with it.

I have progress so far since then, and on a good day I can even go up to strangers and ask them if I can take their photo. Photography has become a passion for me and this ignited my desire to study.

Although my studies are predominant on my blog, I try and use my studies to explore mental health, and especially eating disorders, along with other sociological themes.

Creative writing, poetry and essay writing are important to me and can also be found on my blog, along with a gallery of photos that are not related to my studies.

You are welcome to join me on my journey.

Alien Poems blog

Alien poems blog

Virtual friends blog

We are group of bloggers/artists together writing in a blogging community and I am the admin of the community.

I too have a blog where I write haiku poems, freestyle poems and short stories. I write on social or political issues as well. I care about nature too.

I welcome everyone to have a wonderful reading.

Let me introduce myself as an Alien Poet. I am an Engineer and a poet.  I started writing poems from very young age.

I would like to write not only poems but anything that attracts readers to my blog. I write to the taste of the readers rather writing myself.

I write from Poetry to Political satire, Short stories etc. I even have a community blog and being as admin of the blog. I host the blog with nearly 15 Authors for publishing and promoting their work.

I was writing in a notebook for many years and when I learn about blogging 6 years ago I started off a blog for publishing those works. And slowly learnt to write the situation and current happenings rather sticking to the old style of poetry.

I even tried self publishing and unfortunately it turned out to be not successful and I like to continue publishing through blog until I get a suitable publisher.

I welcome every blogger to promote on my Alien poems blog being an Author themselves. Thus they can ping back to their personal blog.

Untangled blog

My blog is named Untangled

I write about mental health, and living with PTSD, with a bit of poetry sprinkled in along the way. I’m honest in my writing, and come from a place of hope and optimism. I’m passionate about continuing the conversation about mental health as we work together to try and end the stigma of living with a mental illness.

Initially I began blogging because that was one of the ways to market a book. I had just written my memoir, and I heard blogging was a good avenue to reach more people. What started out as a marketing approach soon  became a fabulous avenue to connect with people from all over the world. Blogging has been a truly amazing experience. I`m grateful for the people who I’ve met and have yet to meet. Come and visit my blog!

I refuse to give up blog

I refuse to give up blog

My blog title is I refuse to give up. They say “what’s in the name?”……I say everything.
This title is self explanatory. My blog is about spiritual journey through life lessons. I believe we are closest to our win just when we reach the toughest spot, so refuse to give up. Remember the Lowest points in your life come just before the beginning of your best phase.
This blog started on my toughest days , I had no clue what it will be like , while writing I realized my love for poetry and I am writing almost everyday since.
The purpose is to inspire and motivate the readers and also stay motivated.
I refuse to give up on hope …. I refuse to give up on myself ….come what may.
