The blog is about everything I’m interested in. Niche wise – Mental health, Philosophy, Life, quotes and Photos. These are the main topics of the blog.
The original tagline was “Reveal the bitterness” because then, I write about those things which are almost ignored by the people, but can put a deep impact wherever they exist. Recently, I changed it because I’m planning to take it on a wider scope. What the tagline says that I want to REVEAL THE SECRETS of everything.
If you ask me that what inspired me to start the blog, my answer is –
It’s a long long way story that how this happened but I will try to briefly tell….
“I had a girlfriend from Canada, though she wasn’t a Canadian but went there through IELTS exam from India. Since the day our relationship started (long distance relationship), she begun to urge me to also come there by clearing the IELTS exam. But on the other side, I was a rabid Protester of the exam because of Patriotic feelings inside me. Every time she made me uncomfortable by reminding it, but I would say her that I will come, I will come…..(just from above)….
Finally, after almost 2 months compression of my feelings just like this, they bursted on 16th Feb evening and formed a blog within 20 minutes which is known as “Bittermarshmellos” today. I just vent out what was rolling inside me…..and that’s it. It has grown with time and it will continue…. (all credit goes to my girlfriend ).
The name of my blog is Educated Unemployed Indian and it is about situations that an educated unemployed (like myself) deals with in everyday life.
The blog is not exactly about unemployment, rather I would say, it’s about being unemployed.
Unemployment is a part of the life of an unemployed person, but it is only a single part. There are so many other aspects that form the personality of an unemployed person, much like any other person.
This blog talks about such aspects of my life (including unemployment) that a lot of people (regardless of employed or not) can easily relate to. Things such as-
Talking about situations such as being jobless or having a job with lots of dissatisfaction attached to it.
The blog is about a depressing issue but it’s also about staying positive and finding other people & experiences to relate to.
You can find a few great quotes for inspiration and motivation.
Interesting list articles and useful how to articles.
And so much more.
There are many inspirational stories on the internet about successful bloggers quitting their jobs to blog full time. But my blogging story is not such an inspirational one. I didn’t quit my job to blog because I had no job and that’s why I started to blog. I guess you could say, unemployment is my inspiration or my muse for starting this blog. My mind was full of anxiety about future and I needed a place to share my thoughts. I have always been passionate about writing & have contributed little bit here & there. But starting this blog is the direct result of the constant restlessness over my job situation. I just couldn’t keep my thoughts to myself anymore and once I began so many ideas like light bulbs lighted up inside my head. This was the biggest inspiration to take up blogging. You can read more about my blogging journey here : Where to next ?
