I am inspired to write about various events in everyday life as influenced by the perspective I have as a dog-person. These might be observations of people who may remind me of a funny encounter between Dexter and Comet, a life lesson, or a personality issue that I am helping them ( my “pack” work through – which helps me empathize with people I may see during my day. Often I write about things that dogs do that seem very human.
From the time I was a toddler through present day, I have always had dogs in my life. They were constant companions when I was moving a lot due to my parents’ jobs or marital problems. For many years I had problems where I could not voice my thoughts clearly nor could, if put on the spot, speak without stuttering and confusing people. When my wife’s creativity was noted by her friends who urged her to start blogging, I decided to encourage her blogging by trying it myself. Yet I found that as I continued blogging, my ability to think clearly grew, and my ability to speak also became more clear. Now when I am in front of people presenting – for work, for my church, or among my friends, I do not stutter and stumble over thoughts.
