The nerdy lion blog

The Nerdy Lion blog was created to foster change, it doesn’t necessarily have a singular purpose like other blogs as mine tackles anxiety, writing, blogging and a plethora of other topics. My blog is about shattering the status quo and breaking down stereotypes and other pre-existing paradigms in society. The Nerdy Lion is a symbol of that, because a Lion is viewed as courageous and the king of his/her domain. Meanwhile, a nerd is the antithesis to that, socially awkward and shunned. I believe anyone can be a Lion, regardless of how you look or how society pegs you and there is something powerful in that realization. I want people who read my blog to find their inner Lion and become the best version of themselves. And rule the jungle while they are at it.

As with most, I am a writer on the brink of becoming the next big thing (funny joke right?) I started this blog because, I love writing. It is my one true passion and this blog allows me to fulfill that fire burning inside. Blogging was also a way to validate my writing and help me to establish that I was a competent writer in the first place. There is also the small potential that maybe someone who can get my books published will stumble onto my website and make all of my dreams come true. So, there’s that. Aside from me, I was inspired to create my blog, because I wanted to help people. I have had many tragedies in my life that I have had to endure and successfully conquered. Because of that, I felt as though I should help others with their problems,  even if it is through the awkward lenses of my life. You never know who you could potentially help or touch through the simple act of writing words. So, I do it the best I can the nerdiest way possible.

Objects and the distance between them blog

Objects, and the Distance Between Them Blog

Objects, and the Distance Between Them Blog

I write daily poetry and other creative writing, speaking to whatever is currently occurring in my life or happens to be in the forefront of my mind. This ends up encompassing a wide range of topics but I primarily write about relationships, love, mental health, time, light, and energy. I write as a creative outlet as well as to express myself and connect with others.
When I started my blog, most of my writing dealt with an ongoing divorce and my personal mental health struggles. It has since evolved, and though these topics still surface from time to time, they are no longer central.
I have also worked with several relationships defined as muses. I had never really worked with a muse relationship before and neither had any of them – it was a new experience and brought about some very inspired writing. I have since, inevitably it seems, fallen deeply in love with one particular muse, Blackbird, whom a majority of my writing either is about or to.
I found myself in a place of great darkness at the beginning of 2018, and realized that I needed to speak or my words would swallow me alive. I began posting with no real goal, other than to share my story and release the built up writing. I began this journey with the (rather foolish) intent of remaining distant and anonymous, but have since come to love this community, finding new meaning in the relationships I have built and the perspectives I have gained. I am slowly working to open myself up, and feel I have gained a family of sorts in those I have come to love here. I am inspired every day by the stories and poetry others share, the experience I encounter in my life, and those who I share this journey with.

Dancing to the words blog

Dancing to the words blog

This dance is about wanting to live fearlessly, with vulnerability
To value and celebrate who I am.
I imagine that my life’s journey might touch or inspire others,
as I at times feel touched when finding myself reflected in someone else’s words.

To nurture confidence in myself.
To dance with courage, ‘cœur‘, ‘corazón‘: Strength and power of my heart.
Allowing myself to be vulnerable and risk touching my inner beauty and creativity.
To stretch beyond my self defeating beliefs and reach for what seems impossible.
To create and share images of my inner journey.

Dancing to the words,
To nurture and feed my soul.

Cheynoea`s thoughts blog

My blog is called Cheynoea’s Thoughts. This name came from my Native American heritage. I was given this name as my adult native name by one of my elders. It is more like just a nickname because it is not on any of my legal documents. It means White Dove. A dove stands for peace and I am a peacemaker above all else.

My blog does not follow any one topic of conversation. I write what is in my heart and in my thoughts on any given day. This can range from non-fiction, self-help or self-improvement, thoughts about what is going on in the world, true-life stories, writer’s challenges, poetry, music, and even fiction or fantasy.

I think this recent post about my writing journey will explain most of why I write. It is in my blood. In my soul. It is as much a part of me as my limbs, hair, eyes, and ears.

My Writing Journey

I started my blog in 2015. I posted here and there but never really maintained it like I do now. I struggled to obtain followers and became discouraged. I knew and still know very little about blogging. What I do know is that I have a strong desire to share my life story, thoughts, and opinions in a way that will inspire and encourage others to fight through their struggles. I wish to leave the world a better place for our youth. If my writing can somehow do that, I have succeeded.

Character is Moral Integrity.

It goes hand in hand with your personal happiness!

If you have poor character, and treat others distastefully,

You will surely be unhappy in life.

If you have a good character, and treat others well,

God will provide happiness in your heart.

LOVE is the most precious Gift you can give to yourself and others.

Hey Elsa Le blog

heyelsale is my creative playground where I expose my thoughts, insights and feelings. It is an authentic expression of what life means to me. My main topics revolve between self-growth, travelling and, certainly, food.

I love to write and take photos, so a blog was the perfect solution. Since high school, I accumulated many blogs from Tumblr, Blogspot to WordPress. It was always a way to be creative and to push me to be more healthier, to get out of my comfort zone, etc.

Brian Lageose blog

Brian Lageose blog

Brian was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on a cold January day in 1965.

Clearly, the odds were already against him.

But he persevered, slugging through this and that, and he quickly learned at a very young age that some people can achieve greatness with dedication and hard work, some people are destined to awe the world with their ineptness and lack of admirable qualities, and most people are quite happy to simply plod along in the middle, leading pleasant but mundane lives where they occasionally find a stash of misplaced quarters under a sofa cushion and everybody gets to go out for ice cream.

Brian was not impressed with any of these options. He looked up from his paperwork at the Life Goals Development Center, and studied the applicants around him. Everyone else was quickly selecting one of the three avenues, shoving their completed forms at one of the bored administrative people, and then rushing out the door, because “Charlie’s Angels” was on TV in a few minutes and you couldn’t really miss THAT.

In frustration, Brian turned over his application, intent on writing a scathing missive to Whoever Was In Charge that he really didn’t appreciate the skimpy menu of opportunities, and he noticed a fourth career path, hastily scribbled in by someone with vision: “Some people feel compelled to study the world and people around them, and then stay up all night writing down their thoughts on the matter.”

Brian smiled, checked the box, and added his signature with a flourish. And so it began.
