Gehad`s journey blog

Gehad`s journey blog

There is a phase in everyone’s life where anxiety pays us a visit. It is a heavy guest, but still the best guru. I have decided to write down my feelings and thoughts in order to get rid of these vibes and move forward. I am a free spirit full speaking my mind without any fear nor judgments. Therefore, I have decided to set up my blog. Obviously, my mother tongue is not English, then this blog sounds a great thing to work on my writing skills. I am preparing for IELTS, so wish me luck to excel this time. In the future, I would like to come back, read what I have written, and then laugh blissfully as my aims were not wishful thinking.

Bitter marshmallows blog

The blog is about everything I’m interested in. Niche wise – Mental health, Philosophy, Life, quotes and Photos. These are the main topics of the blog.

The original tagline was “Reveal the bitterness” because then, I write about those things which are almost ignored by the people, but can put a deep impact wherever they exist. Recently, I changed it because I’m planning to take it on a wider scope. What the tagline says that I want to REVEAL THE SECRETS of everything.

If you ask me that what inspired me to start the blog, my answer is –

“Frustration”.

It’s a long long way story that how this happened but I will try to briefly tell….

“I had a girlfriend from Canada, though she wasn’t a Canadian but went there through IELTS exam from India. Since the day our relationship started (long distance relationship), she begun to urge me to also come there by clearing the IELTS exam. But on the other side, I was a rabid Protester of the exam because of Patriotic feelings inside me. Every time she made me uncomfortable by reminding it, but I would say her that I will come, I will come…..(just from above)….

Finally, after almost 2 months compression of my feelings just like this, they bursted on 16th Feb evening  and formed a blog within 20 minutes which is known as “Bittermarshmellos” today. I just vent out what was rolling inside me…..and that’s it. It has grown with time and it will continue…. (all credit goes to my girlfriend ).

Evolving Life – How We Do Wellness

This blog, Evolving Life, came about this fall as a part of a 30-day challenge to launch me as a freelance writer. It began as a place to discuss mental health and spirituality as my background is in somatic psychology and spiritual counseling. But as I’ve gotten clarity on what I wanted to focus on, it’s morphed into the broader field of wellness.

So now it’s a place to come and see what’s new in the world of wellness. I share reviews on various wellness businesses, reports on trending wellness practices, and my own reflections on health, fitness, mental health, and relationships. Most recently, I’ve added a page for travel writing, which is a new endeavor that I am so excited to be working on with my partner.

I think life is a process of growth and evolution and that’s why I named the blog Evolving Life. Stop by for a visit!

Fun facts about me –

A practitioner of yoga for 20 years, I’m a certified yoga instructor and have taught yoga on 3 continents, in 4 countries, and in 3 languages.

I taught myself Portuguese in a week using Google Translate in order to teach yoga in the language.

My favorite place in the US is South Carolina, where my family is from but I have also lived in Florence, Italy; Cusco, Peru; and Rio, Brazil.

I owned and operated a wellness center in which I practiced holistic/spiritual coaching and counseling, taught yoga, and gave energy healing sessions.

When alone, my favorite thing to do is to sing… loudly.
