Disney World Adventurer blog

My website is called “A Disney World Adventurer” .

My blog is about sharing my Walt Disney World travel experiences, helping others by sharing my photos and stories, since Walt Disney World can be overwhelming at times to plan. I also love hearing back from others about their own Disney experiences!

I’ve always followed so many other Disney World bloggers, Disney is my passion and one day I thought, “why can’t I do that too?” I’ve only been blogging for about a month and a half, but I am so thankful for everyone that I’ve been able to connect with, and have so much fun sharing my experiences. Disney is my favorite thing to talk and write about!

Elleguyence blog

My blog is a creative writing blog that gears towards poetry and prose. I also use my platform to share blogging tips, how to gain readership, advice on writing, and other creative activities to engage with my readers.
Originally, I was inspired to start my blog because I wanted a place to put all my content that I had previously kept private. It was meant more for myself, and I sincerely thought that no one wanted to hear my stories anyway.
In my first six months, I gained 2,000 followers—and at that point, I knew that this was really something special. Building this blog meant sharing my thoughts with other WordPress readers, and hoping I could connect with them. I think my reach has suggested that I really have made that connection, and I hope to continue to nurture it!

Manja Mexi movie blog

Manja Mexi Movie Blog

My blog Manja Mexi Movie is already my third. I
started out four years ago without any plan or many expectations. It was obvious that I was getting a bit lonesome in the middle of rural Tuscany with amore who works long hours and the dog whom we call
bestia.

The last straw to do something like starting a blog came when I got upset because my family and friends back home in Slovenia, to whom I kept sending photos from around here, didn’t respond to my mails at all or rarely. Obviously I needed a larger audience if I was to get
any feedback.

I simply started to write and post photos, and looking back now I cannot believe how much personal information I shared willingly.
Sometimes it makes me cringe but not enough to delete anything. I leave both my previous blogs as they were, for anybody who might find them as well as for me to look back and reminisce.

When the first blog was full, I simply started another and then another. The accent is on photography with more or less entertaining or merely informative captions, but sometimes I also burst out writing
– always non-fiction, I cannot invent – most recently even poetry.
Sometimes I translate poetry or songs, since this is my profession.
Sometimes I post quotations.

My posts can be about present goings-on or a past trip to any of the little towns of Tuscany, to Rome or Slovenia where I return twice a
year. These are my playgrounds.

Oh, and every four months or so I post flash film reviews. There is Movie in my blog name after all.
And I’ve almost forgot: on Thursdays I and about 40 other enthusiasts worldwide post photos of doors. Welcome to join us or just come and
have a look if you like doors, and who doesn’t.

Everybody welcome, especially those who like their lives a bit quirky, a bit out of the way and fully unapologetic. And who don’t do it for the money.

John Jr`s blog – Dreams and Miscellaneous

My blog is a dream journal and miscellaneous blog that focuses on me sharing my dreams every day, and sometimes posting about random things like: movies, television shows, music, videos, news, books, art, software, online services, memories, daydreams, poetry, quotes, products, and more.

Back in the early MySpace and Facebook (Fakebook) days I did not like some of the limitations that services like that had and I wanted a more flexible and open service that anyone could read and comment on even if they did not have an account because I wanted my family and friends et cetera to be able to follow parts of my life shared online and be able to communicate with me, and so I tried various online services until I ended up on Windows Live Spaces.

No one I knew seemed interested in my blog at all so I ended up deleting all of my posts and then my blog became a dream journal because I wanted to improve my dream recall again to the levels that I had back when I was a kid, dreams are an important part of my life and are one of the reasons that I am still alive today, dreams may often be fictional but they often contain some things from our real lives so this allowed me to still share something from my life without having to worry about sharing too much personal stuff since they are just dreams, and because I dream almost every night so that would give me something to blog about each day.

Eventually I started to occasionally add and delete miscellaneous posts to go along with my dream posts, and later I moved my blog from Windows Live Spaces to WordPress.com when Microsoft cancelled Windows Live Spaces.

I believe classic film is good for you, like expensive chocolate or a day at the spa. I write about old movies – some of ’em are classics, and some definitely are not.
I have a bad habit of commenting on films as I’m watching them.

My loved ones finally said, “You should blog about your astute observations instead of telling us.” However, they used a more colorful phrase than “astute observations”… and I’ve been blogging ever since.

This is Amaan Khan blog

ThisIsAmaanKhan is the name of my blog.

Hello. My name is Amaan Khan, and this is my portfolio website. Welcome to my humble little corner of the blogosphere. Herein you will find short (and maybe long) pieces of fiction, thoughtful ramblings from yours truly, and who knows what else when inspiration strikes. Currently, I am preparing to publish chapters of my upcoming novel, one post at a time.

What inspired me to start my blog was the insatiable passion for reading, writing, and storytelling. I find that when all else in life fails, I keep coming back to them. They never let down, they never stop helping, healing. They are my true calling, and I believe my blog is the way I express my undying love and gratitude for them.

If you like what you find, please do follow the blog. There are weekly updates without fail, a new post every Thursday. Thank you for reading and stopping by! Have a great and healthy day!

Nicholas Rossis blog

Nicholas Rossis blog

Nicholas C. Rossis blogs about all things books, with an emphasis on book marketing. It all started when he published his first book. As all authors, he was hoping for the world to swiftly recognize the brilliance of his work.
That first month, he sold eight copies, all to friends and relatives.
The next one, none.
He then tried some inspired book marketing, including posting on Facebook a rather pensive picture of him with a piece of paper saying, “please buy my book. It’s only $2.99.” Although that
particular post got over 1,000 likes, it generated not a single sale.
Coming from an Internet marketing background, Nicholas then realized he had to get serious with book marketing. Four years and fifteen books later, he has sold enough books to buy a jet, which he keeps in the top drawer of his desk. He shares every new trick he learns on his blog, believing you need to help a hundred people find success before you deserve your own. As he loves books and all things pertaining to them, he also blogs on a number of related topics, like writing tips, news from the world of publishing, and free stories.

Dancing to the words blog

Dancing to the words blog

This dance is about wanting to live fearlessly, with vulnerability
To value and celebrate who I am.
I imagine that my life’s journey might touch or inspire others,
as I at times feel touched when finding myself reflected in someone else’s words.

To nurture confidence in myself.
To dance with courage, ‘cœur‘, ‘corazón‘: Strength and power of my heart.
Allowing myself to be vulnerable and risk touching my inner beauty and creativity.
To stretch beyond my self defeating beliefs and reach for what seems impossible.
To create and share images of my inner journey.

Dancing to the words,
To nurture and feed my soul.

Blogging, Health, Life, Mental illness blogs

Bird flight blog

Bird flight blog

I had a few specific purposes in creating bird flight blog:

Serve, in many ways, as an aid to my bipolar disorder recovery – I wanted to discipline myself to write on a regular basis, preferably as many week days of the year as possible. So often with bipolar disorder, energy, motivation, and concentration are issues. To be able to fulfill an assigned responsibility with regularity is great preparation for getting back to a normal life. I also wanted to expand my thinking beyond my illness. Way too often, mental illness becomes too much of a daily focus. I had many interests and loves before my illness consumed me. It was time to revisit them, and explore new ones, too. Reading other peoples’ blogs has also been so enriching and educational for me. I follow bloggers who write nature poetry, travel or culinary-related pieces, social and political pieces, and much more. I also very much enjoy their camaraderie.

Explore my creative side, and dabble in new styles of writing – Prior to starting this blog, writing was not really a major passion of mine. Sure, I wrote plenty of papers and essays at school and university. Many of my past jobs required a lot of writing, too, especially my most recent one. But all of that writing was communications, sales and marketing-type writing. I was good at it, but it sure got boring after a while! I wanted to write stories, reflections, poetic pieces, and articles on completely different things. I’ve written portions of a potential memoir, researched topics of interest to me, had a little fun, reminisced, and looked hard and deep at who I was, am now, and who I’d like to be in the future. Never before had I expressed such passion, emotion, and love in writing.

Share my bipolar disorder experience with others and help to fight stigma – I’ve spent plenty of time at in-person and online bipolar forums, supporting others and receiving wonderful support. I still do, but there are many people out there that are unfamiliar with or have skewed understanding of bipolar disorder, anxiety, and other mental health issues. I have readers of my blog without mental health issues. That makes me so happy! I also appreciate my readers who have shared their stories and comments.

Halfway through last year, I set a goal of publishing at least 200 posts. I’m happy to say that I exceeded 230 in 12 months! That’s enough writing to fill a book, and is the equivalent of almost one post per work day. I can’t believe it! Of these posts, about 50% include some reference to mental health, but the rest are about other topics completely. Looking back at my very first post The very beginning… I achieved what I set out to do. I am tickled pink!

I am looking forward to reading and writing posts throughout 2018. I’m not entirely sure what direction(s) I’ll take, but I think that’s OK. As time passes, this will be clearer to me.

Thank you all so much!

Photo Sociology Blog

Greetings,

I’m Richard and my blog is Photo sociology

I study photography with the Open College of the Arts, and we are required to start a blog in order that we can evidence our progress and development throughout the course, and as a means of submitting our assignments.

But that’s not where my journey with photography began.

Two years ago, I was on the brink of suicide due to overwhelming anxiety and paranoia. I was unable to go outside and couldn’t cope with life. A friend was very firm that something needed to change, so I ordered a camera. Very slowly and tentatively I started to go outdoors with a camera. Five minutes was more than enough to start with, but over a period of months this increased. I felt a level of safety having a camera in front of my face, and also that photography became my mindfulness practice. It never took my paranoia or anxiety away, but it helped me to cope with it.

I have progress so far since then, and on a good day I can even go up to strangers and ask them if I can take their photo. Photography has become a passion for me and this ignited my desire to study.

Although my studies are predominant on my blog, I try and use my studies to explore mental health, and especially eating disorders, along with other sociological themes.

Creative writing, poetry and essay writing are important to me and can also be found on my blog, along with a gallery of photos that are not related to my studies.

You are welcome to join me on my journey.
