Written In Geek Blog

The key to my site, is to give people a chance to take a break in their day. I try to keep my posts at a reasonable length, and the content can vary between a poem that I wrote, to NASA articles.

My blog is about things that interest me, focusing on writing, geek culture, astronomy and once in a while, something on parenting. I’ve made a lot of changes since I began in April 2016, deciding on what I wanted to cover, how often I wanted to post, and whether to have a logo or not. I scrapped my logo a little while ago, and only post on Wednesdays and Fridays now.

I’m what you would call an introverted extrovert. While I love to meet new people, I’m generally shy. I began my site to help build my confidence, and to also get back to writing, something that I had stopped doing a long time ago. In this “journey of self-discovery”, I’ve made new friends, have become more confident in myself, and returned to writing. While the writing began with NaNoWriMo, and the goal was to write a novel, I’ve found that poetry is more my thing. Blogging has given me the chance to share my work, as well as getting the “job” of writing dark poetry for a horror site (http://www.theboldmom.com/). I’m a “mature” Library Tech student and now work at a rural library, so, between that, this site, and a fantastic family, I guess that I can say that I’m living my dream life!

    You have described me perfectly.
I used to be more outgoing.
Circumstances have dictated that I become more circumspect about my life and choices!
